Saver privacy policy

Last updated October 2026. Covers the Saver browser extension, bookmarklets and the Saver service at save.togm.co.

What Saver collects

Saver only acts when you ask it to: when you click the Saver button, use its keyboard shortcut, click the bookmarklet, or choose it from the right-click menu. At that moment it reads:

Saver does not read pages you have not asked it to send, and it does not track your browsing.

Your account

To use Saver you create an account with an email address and a password. Saver stores your email address, a salted hash of your password, your API keys and their labels, the recipient addresses you add to keys and whether each has confirmed, your plan, and sign-in timestamps.

How clippings are used

What you select is sent over HTTPS to the Saver server, which emails it to the confirmed recipients of the API key you used and does nothing else with it. The Saver server keeps no copy of the content of what you send. For each send it records only the time, the key used, the number of recipients, and whether the email was delivered, so that it can count your monthly usage and show you recent activity. Like most web servers, it may keep technical request logs (such as IP addresses) for troubleshooting.

Recipients

When you add an address other than your own to a key, Saver emails that person once to ask for their confirmation. Saver never sends clippings to an address that has not confirmed, and every such email carries a link to withdraw.

Payments

Paid plans are billed by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe and never touch Saver's servers; Saver stores only Stripe's identifiers for your customer and subscription so it can keep your plan in sync.

Emails from Saver

Saver sends you email only to confirm your address, reset your password, warn you when you approach or reach your monthly limit, and to confirm recipients you add. There is no marketing email.

Sharing

Saver does not sell your data or share it with anyone, except for delivering your emails through our mail server and processing payments through Stripe.

Removing your data

Delete individual keys or recipients from the dashboard at any time. Deleting your account from Settings removes your account, keys, recipients and usage records immediately. Emails that have already been sent are in the recipients' mailboxes. Delete an API key on the extension's options page, or remove the extension, to delete its stored data from your browser.
